Thank you Cumberland County for Relief Efforts

acquireUncategorized

Many churches in our community opened their doors to hundreds of residents affected by Florence. Since I worship at Manna Church, I participated with them for several days offering food, water, essential supplies, and clean up at many Florence victim’s homes.  Several businesses also contributed to the needs of the people affected. Schools became shelters, and school staff participated.

I think that we learned a lot from Matthew and implemented many of those lessons.  Situations such as these bring out who we really are – people working together to help others. I am so very proud of Cumberland County, and I would like to thank you all for your part. For most of us, Florence is history, but to many people, their lives and futures have been forever altered and are still suffering.

Please continue to pray for the hurricane victims and consider becoming involved with the continued relief efforts.
