Back in my July Newsletter, I spoke briefly on the improvements that will be made to the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. As I said then, it is my honored responsibility to do what I can to help the families of Cumberland County and Fort Bragg.
I helped secure funding from the state budget to go towards the Sandhills Cemetary. Specifically, this funding is to develop an enclosed committal structure to be used during services that honor our fallen heros. This is a project that I have worked on closely with local leadership in Fayetteville and I am personally quite proud of it’s development. The line item that I helped secure in the recently passed budget is quickly becoming a tangible reality. Construction on the enclosure is progresssing right on schedule.
We can always do more to support our troops and their families. This project is a step in that direction.
